Circle Farm Tour Christmas

November 28 and 29, 2009

Agassiz/Harrison Mills Circle Farm Tour will again be hosting a special weekend to celebrate Christmas in the country! You will be treated to specialty foods, events and prize draws at every participating farm!

At our farm:

• Visit the Live Nativity Scene in the stable, starring Mary and Joseph and all the animals.
• Sip a hot apple cider made from our own apples, made on a gorgeous fall afternoon using an old press and lots of muscle power. Tastes like the sunshine!
• Christmas cheeses will be available starting this weekend. Look for the popular Cranberry and Roasted Hazelnut Fromage Frais, and Cranberry Goat Caerphilly.
• Enter a draw for a wine and cheese party for 10.
• Order your Christmas gift baskets this weekend and receive a free bag of fresh Cheddar cheese curds.
• New gift selection and specials throughout the store.

The shop is open Saturday 10 to 5; Sunday 1 - 5 pm and the Live Nativity is open 1 - 4 pm both days.

Christmas Pageant on the Farm: Journey to Bethlehem

December 11, 12 and 13, 2009 (6:30-8 pm)

This wonderful family event has you meeting Mary and Joseph and the donkey as they travel to Bethlehem. Follow them as they search for accommodation, visit the shepherds in the field, hear the choirs of angels, and finally find the Family again in the stable. Be there when the shepherds and Kings arrive to worship the newborn baby.

Refreshments will be served, there will music and stories and interactive time with the animals.

Please park near the cheese shop, and wait for your guide. Bring a flashlight and wear appropriate clothing and footwear, rubber boots and umbrellas may be necessary.

Admission is by donation. All proceeds will be donated to Haiti Arise for the Haiti Goat Dairy Project, (read more here), the chosen charity of The Farm House Natural Cheeses and the Amrein-Boyes Family.

The Cheese Shop will be open until 9 pm both evenings.

Cheesemaking workshop

Our first cheese making workshop in February was a great success, and due to demand we may be offering another one in late October/early November. If you are interested, call the shop to put your name on the list. We will post the details here closer to the time.
